In Sept 2007, Tanya opened Above the Pearl Tattoo in NW Portland, Putting her graphic design, artistic, and business background to work, to pursue a career in Tattoo.
Above the Pearl Tattoo was awarded Best of Citysearch Tattoo Shop, Portland 2009.

Heavy Folkloric/Historical influence and education through the SCA, she performed regularly at events from 1991 to 1999.
